Boutique tuner of BMWs, Alpina is building 50 sedans and 50 coupes to celebrate its 50th year in business.
Like so many Alpinas, these Edition 50 models will be based on BMWs — the current 5 Series and 6 Series — but will feature unique, hand-crafted bodies and bespoke interiors and a seriously overhauled V8 engine.
The revised powerplant will offer 600hp, and when transplanted into the Edition 50 will result in a 0-100kph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 204mph (328kph), making it the most powerful and one of the fastest cars in the company’s history. Prices will start at €118,000.
