 According to the readers of Travel + Leisure, this resort is the “best hotel in the world” and once you take a look at these photos, you’ll no doubt nod your head in agreement…



This is Nihiwatu Resort on Sumba Island, Indonesia in all its glory. This resort has famous spas, restaurants, welcome staff and best of all: a view that is absolutely unforgettable.

Some of the villas are built on stilts, which resemble tree houses (millionaire-esque tree houses, if you will!) but the ones on even ground are no less luxurious.

Every villa has a living room, bedroom area and two of the villas share an infinity pool while the third has a private one. But really, who minds sharing with your neighbours when you’re in one of the most beautiful places in the world? Better to share with them than with the entire resort, I say!

The “regular” villas offer a plunge poor, indoor-outdoor spaces and a view of Nihi beach. You really can’t ask for a better place for some much-needed R&R.
