Ariana Grande’s ‘Wicked’ Penthouse in London Can Be Yours for $22.8 Million

Fresh off her starring role in the Wicked movies, Ariana Grande’s former London pied-à-terre is making headlines of its own.

While filming the blockbuster musical, the pop star holed up at Buxmead, an ultra-private apartment complex on London’s famous “Billionaires’ Row,” which includes 2.5 acres of gardens. The massive top-floor penthouse, spanning nearly 9,700 square feet, served as her personal refuge from the spotlight. Real estate agents say Grande chose the spot because it was close to Elstree Studios, where Wicked was filmed, and offered private gym and studio spaces where she could work out and rehearse away from everyone else.

The penthouse wasn’t always this A-lister ready, though. In 2019, property investor Dean Main bought it as an empty shell and undertook a meticulous three-year renovation to transform it into a glamorous escape. Designed for both entertaining and relaxing, floor-to-ceiling glass walls open up to a 360-degree terrace with stunning views over Hampstead Heath. The main floor holds a massive living room, a formal dining area, a bar, a TV lounge, a kitchen, and a primary bedroom suite with two walk-in closets.

A private elevator travels downstairs to the lower level, where there is a movie theater, a game room, a home office, a private gym, a second kitchen, and several guest rooms. There’s also a private six-car underground garage. “I genuinely believe the penthouse at Buxmead is a rare piece of real estate, and in my view, the best penthouse currently available in North West London,” says co-listing agent Alexander Main, founder of the brokerage Alexander Main.

Living at Buxmead comes with a slew of perks, including concierge and housekeeping services. Residents share 15,000 square feet of amenities, including a 25-meter indoor pool, a spa, a professional gym, and an 18-seat theater. “What really defines Buxmead is its reputation,” adds broker Becky Fatemi, executive partner at United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty. “It has quietly become known as London’s residential Fort Knox, and that level of security and discretion is incredibly difficult to replicate. It attracts global individuals who want to live well without being seen.” The price tag for this ultimate privacy is 16.95 million pounds, around $22.8 million.

Grande, meanwhile, is no stranger to luxury real estate on both sides of the Atlantic. In 2023, she quietly sold her Los Angeles home to rapper Bad Bunny for $8.3 million in an off-market deal, and the year before that, she bought a $5 million home in the Hollywood Hills from Cameron Diaz.
